CLARION WINS EISA 2016-2017 AWARD FOR ITS FULL DIGITAL SOUND SYSTEM
Vélizy-Villacoublay, 29th August 2016 – Clarion, the safety solutions and information systems provider, has been awarded by the EISA jury for its fully digital audio system, Full Digital Sound. The award will be presented at the 2016 IFA show, 2nd September in Berlin.
EISA (European Imaging and Sound Association) was formally established in 1989 and brings together experts in sound and video from over 45 specialist magazines based in 22 European countries. Each year, following rigorous testing, the jury honours the best new releases equipped with the most advanced technologies.
This year, Clarion wins a prestigious EISA award in the “European In-Car Innovation 2016-2017” category for its Full Digital Sound system which was launched last May. This award is an important recognition of Clarion’s pioneering approach to innovation and firmly positions Clarion as a leader in the embedded electronics industry.
Full Digital Sound is a fully digital speaker system with the latest technology that enables pure high-resolution sound reproduction for a unique in-car audio experience.
“Full Digital Sound by Clarion is no ordinary digital car audio component: it’s the industry’s first automotive solution that operates wholly in the digital domain from the audio source to the speaker’s voice coils. It’s less power hungry than comparable traditional systems and is fully controlled by the latest DSP technology, so it’s perfectly compatible with any car audio system. Fully Digital Sound is future technology that you can buy today,” said EISA’s In-Car Expert Group.
“Clarion has unblemished experience as a sound expert for the last 76 years. Today our brand reinvents the speaker using advanced technology that’s perfectly in tune with current and future needs.” said Norman Hiller, product manager for Europe. “Full Digital Sound is the missing link in the all-digital channel. This is a significant improvement not only for lovers of sound quality, but also for installers and car manufacturers, who will find simple and decisive answers to compatibility issues, integration and practical installation constraints.
